This video was created for Global Detroit to help them promote Detroit as the host city of Welcoming America’s 2025 Welcoming Interactive conference. Welcoming Interactive is a biennial conference that highlights practices and stories about immigrant inclusion, programs, policies, and partnerships.

I filmed this video with several immigrant-led Detroit businesses that Global Detroit has worked with like Baobab Fare and Mexicantown Bakery. I also filmed landmarks around the city to fit the script of “A city of… movement, music, art, business, innovation. A city for migration, immigrants, everyone.” Some footage and photography was provided by other creatives and the script was written by the Global Detroit team.
