About
Hi, I'm Jason. I'm a videographer, designer and photographer living and working in Southeast Michigan. I partner with businesses, non-profit organizations and schools on marketing projects, storytelling ideas and branding initiatives. When working to tell a specific story, market an event or enhance a brand, I bring a balance of creativity and organization to each and every project. I understand timelines and budgets. I’m comfortable taking the lead or being a part of a client’s team. And I approach every task no matter how big or small with the client’s best interest in mind.
Before deciding to work independently and start my own business, I worked in Oakland University's Communications and Marketing department on a variety of video and graphic design projects. I also graduated from OU with my degree in art and graphic design. I’ve always had a passion for telling stories through design, video and photo which comes from my many hours in high school yearbook and college newspaper.
I have nearly 10 years of experience working with organizations like the American Heart Association, Downtown Detroit Partnership, Invest Detroit and Warrior Sports. I see JMW Creative as more than just a service. I truly value the relationships I’ve built with each person and organization I’ve had the opportunity to partner with on marketing and communication efforts. And I also collaborate with a talented group of creative professionals who join me on certain projects when needed.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife, family and friends – traveling, visting new places around Michigan, playing games, and watching OU basketball. I’m a big music fan, have way too many Spotify playlists and love running and being outside on a trail.
