The FIRST Championship is an international four-day robotics competition held each April, drawing thousands of students and teams from around the world. When the event came to Detroit, the Downtown Detroit Partnership hosted a series of space-themed events across downtown parks to celebrate. I collaborated with DDP on the event’s overall look and created a wide range of materials including marketing pieces, social media graphics, event signage, banners, maps, and schedules. Over the four days, more than 40,000 visitors explored activations like STEM Shows in Campus Martius Park, an arcade in Beacon Park, Brain Bowl trivia in Spirit Plaza, and food trucks throughout the city.
